Orbis Motors On With The Sale Of Preformed Windings

Orbis Partners, the Birmingham-based corporate finance advisors and Gateley have advised Deritend Industries on the sale of Preformed Windings Limited. Preformed Windings will join the electric machines group of companies owned by Clyde Blowers Capital (“CBC”).

Preformed Windings manufactures high-quality coils for traction motors, high voltage motors and generators to a global client base from a wide range of industries, including power generation, water and transport. Having built up a strong reputation over 45 years in a niche market the business is well positioned to take advantage of the significant growth opportunities available.

Deritend Industries is a UK leading provider of engineering asset management, maintenance and repair solutions. The company provide bespoke specialist services for organisations across industries including water, power, metals, transport and petrochemicals.

“We’re pleased to have found a good home for Preformed Windings within CBC, as the nature of their business is an excellent fit. The sale will also enable Deritend to concentrate on what we do best by providing whole life cost asset management services for our customers. Our long term plans are to grow the company organically and through potential acquisitions over the next few years.”
Richard Hale, Group Managing Director

“Over a period of two years, we have worked closely with the Deritend Industries shareholders to appraise the various strategic options available. The sale places Deritend in a strong position to expedite the growth of its core business both organically and by acquisition.”
Simon Lloydbottom, Associate Director

“We were delighted to work with Orbis Partners on this transaction. They provided us with excellent guidance and were thoroughly professional throughout the entire process.”
Stuart Smith, Finance Director for Deritend Industries
